Holiday Greetings From… The Grove, Los Angeles

One of the best places for holiday shopping in Los Angeles is at The Grove. Reminiscent of Old Europe with its pastel-colored buildings and copper roofs, this outdoor mall features cobbled streets, a vintage trolley and a grand fountain with a choreographed water and music show every half-hour. However, the focal point is undoubtedly the 100-foot (30.5 meter) tall Christmas tree. L.A.’s answer to the tree at New York’s Rockefeller Center, this majestic white fir features more than 15,000 lights and 10,000 festive ornaments.

During the holiday season—even though the temperature in Los Angeles only dips into the 40s—the shopping center features “magical” snowfall at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. nightly. Guests can also stop by Santa’s Cottage for a photo with the big man himself, and enjoy musical performances and live entertainment as they go about their holiday shopping.

The Grove is located at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90036. (323) 900-8080. Entrances to the parking structure are at Fairfax Avenue, Beverly Boulevard, and Third Street.
