Travel Fun Facts! Volume: 2 – Where Famous People Are Buried

It may seem a bit macabre, but it’s popular for tourists to seek out the graves of famous people when they’re traveling. I know that when I was in Buenos Aires, I made a beeline to Eva Perón’s grave at Recoleta Cemetery (along with what seemed like dozens of tour groups.) Another time, when I was in Paris, I remember visiting the Pere Lachaise Cemetery to see Jim Morrison’s grave. One of his fans even left a joint for him to enjoy in the hereafter! Here’s a list of some famous people throughout history and where they’re buried, most of which I’ve seen on my travels.
