Travel Photo Thursday: Copacabana Beach at Sunset

Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

This was the view from our hotel’s rooftop pool on world-famous Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Not bad, eh? After a whirlwind two-and-a-half weeklong trek from Rio to Buenos Aires to Punta del Este to Iguaçu Falls and back to Rio, it was awesome to just relax on the beach for a couple days. This was actually the last sunset we saw in South America, before returning home. Just out of frame on the left is Sugarloaf Mountain, which we actually visited twice on our trip.  I can’t wait to return to the Cidade Maravilhosa (Marvelous City) of Rio de Janeiro someday soon.
